The DNC Doesn’t Get It

So in the big fight to see which state can move closest to the front during primary season, the DNC has come up with a possible sanction for those states that wish to defy it.

The DNC does have options. First, it could demand a boycott of rogue states by the presidential contenders.

“We will try to get the candidates not to campaign in those states,” a DNC member told me.

This is exactly why people hate political parties. By demanding that presidential candidates not go to a certain state, presumably by threatening the candidates in its grand mafioso style, the DNC ensures that people of one state or another have no access to those who would represent them in the White House.

Is this a government of the People, or of the Parties? We make the decisions, not the Democratic Party and not the Republican Party. I’m ashamed that the party that purports to represent all of the people would stoop so low as to limit the involvement of the people in their government.

They just don’t get it.
